Very rare 1920's Wurlitzer Martin 0-size guitar (13.5 inch lower bout X 4 inch deep).

I bought this guitar several years ago with a badly collapsed top that had been poorly repaired.

I had a luthier build a new top for it copying the (X)  bracing and the marquetry. It turned out beautifully.

This guitar sounds and plays just about as good as any guitar of this size I've ever owned .This is a rare guitar!

I don't think the body was made by Martin, just the neck.

The back of the headstock is marked “Wurlitzer – CF Martin, Nazareth PA”.

The fingerboard is not ebony or rosewood. The finish is original (with the exception of the top).

The tuners are original. The back and sides are Brazilian rosewood.

There are several repaired back cracks that were easy to repair with the top off.

A new bridge was made because the old bridge had been shaved down.

With the bound fingerboard and peghead this would have been a Style 30 Martin guitar.

If you're looking for a great couch guitar to play blues or folk, this is the one.

Sold with new custom cream tolex hard shell case.

The height of the action at the 12th fret measured from the top of the fret to the bottom of the string is 7/64th inch.  If this guitar played any easier it would be an electric guitar!!
